This commentary on “The LEADER approach and the 100-Villages Program – A Complementary and Synergetic Approach to Integrated Development of Rural Areas” is a policy document that seeks to bring to the attention of donors and both public and non-public stakeholders a new paradigm on implementing participatory rural development through the LEADER approach. The document advocates for an integrated and sustainable development approach toward rural communities in Albania in accordance with the EU Community-Led Local Development Policy (CLLD/LEADER) in an effort to raise awareness of national and local challenges in this area.
