The Albanian Network for Rural Development (ANRD) and the Agricultural University of Tirana (AUT) are pleased to announce the holding of the 1st Albanian Rural Parliament (ARP) from 28th to 30th of September 2017, at the premises of the AUT.
The Albanian Rural Parliament represents an advocacy, capacity building and networking platform dedicated to rural development. It is the instrument through which ANRD and AUT seek to influence the Albanian National Rural Agenda. Such an instrument is the current strongest action with a comprehensive and nationwide feature which applies the “bottom-up” approach to advance the process of reforming the country to approximate with the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) EU policy.
The event – a joint effort by the Albanian Network of Rural Development consisting of twenty-two local CSOs in partnership with the Agriculture University of Tirana – welcomes nearly 300 participants. It will bring together a wide range of rural stakeholders with the objective to accelerate the agenda of rural development in Albania through a bottom-up, highly inclusive and national wide approach. All 61 Municipalities will be represented in this event with high and local officials, farmers, and other social and economic agents.
