Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM Albania), in partnership with AgriNET and AgroPUKA, have started the implementation of the project “Consolidating the role of the Albanian Network for Rural Development toward a functional model of participatory and bottom-up perspective in national rural agenda”, financed by the European Union.
The project represents an action aligned with the main focus area of the Albanian Network for Rural Development (ANRD) and its Strategic Framework (2018-2020). This action envisages member organizations and other ANRD constituents commitment to jointly network, work and advocate for improved quality of life of rural communities.
In this context, IDM and the project partners, AgriNet and AgroPuka, will organize on April 12, 2018 the project kick-off to launch its official start, which will aim to present the project’s objectives, its expected results, as well as the role of ANRD in the rural reforming processes of the country. The project kick-off will be followed by the ANRD General Assembly meeting, which will focus its discussion on the Draft Guidelines on establishing and functioning of ANRD regional structures, that will intend to create an internal dynamic of active and visible CSOs at local level, and empower the bottom-up founding perspective of the ANRD.
Senior representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, EU Delegation to Tirana and ANRD will address participants at this very first activity of a project that represents an important process for the consolidation and empowerment of the non-public sector to influence processes and reforms of rural development.
