The Albanian Network for Rural Development has published the policy document “Sustainable food systems and rural livelihoods – the dairy case in Albania.”

The document provides a detailed analysis of the challenges and opportunities within the diary value chain, assessing the economic, social, and environmental performance of the sector according to the principles of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

To address the systemic challenges facing the dairy sector, this policy document offers a set of coherent and actionable recommendations. These recommendations are fully aligned with the strategic priorities of Albania’s Strategy for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries 2021-2027 and the principles of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
