Alba Tema recently graduated with a Master of Science in “Economics and Rural Development Policies” from the Agricultural University of Tirana, where she was awarded the title of “Distinct Student” upon graduation.
Her passion for sustainable development of rural areas led her to join the Albanian Network for Rural Development, where she works as a Project Officer and Researcher. At ANRD, Alba is involved in projects related to the implementation of the LEADER approach and currently, she is a member of the steering committee of the European Network of Youth in LEADER. She is also involved in EU funded projects such as “Farm to Fork Academy: Our Shared European Future” and “Toka Jonë: Reuse of confiscated lands to promote social agriculture”, as well as leading youth activism initiatives such as the Rural Youth Hub.
Growing up in a remote, mountainous area has deeply influenced Alba’s understanding of the unique challenges and potentials of rural communities. She remains dedicated to the sustainable development of rural areas, which is the mission of the ANRD.
