VIS Albania is an international volunteering organization for development that has been working in Albania since 1995.
VIS Albania is a branch of the international VIS headquartered in Rome, Italy and is part of an international network of non-governmental organizations from Spain, Germany, Belgium, and Austria. VIS has been involved in development projects in approximately 50 countries across the globe, spanning all continents. In addition to education projects, VIS has been active in Albania since 1995 and has focused on supporting Albanian children and youth since then.
Mission of VIS Albania is to lead Albanian society toward active participation in decision-making processes aimed at improving their lives.
VIS Albania operates mainly in the northern Albania. Its activities have included providing support to street children, offering vocational training for young people, advocating for children’s rights, promoting women’s dignity, fostering socio-economic development in rural areas, stimulating tourism in mountainous regions, and engaging in environmental protection.
