Empowering and transforming rural communities requires placing social and economic justice at the center of the development processes. The positive achievements of the Toka Jonë (Our Land)- Reuse of confiscated lands to promote social agriculture project, especially its tangible results for young people, women and farmers in the rural communities of the municipalities of Tirana and Shijak, showcase the significant potential the social agriculture in empowering the most vulnerable groups of our society.

We are delighted to share with you the Declaration of the Safety Net on the reuse of confiscated land to promote social agriculture, a valuable document that synthesises the key issues discussed among partners and stakeholders engaged in implementing a courageous and innovative project such as Toka Jonë. This declaration represents the collective knowledge of the safety net members and serves as a call for coordinated institutional engagement and active involvement of local communities in the use of confiscated lands for social purposes
