The project “Animation of Rural Development in Local Communities of Mirdita Municipality” is a joint initiative of Center for Development and Integration and the Albanian Regional Environmental Board. This project is supported by the Civil Society Capacity Building and Advocacy Grant Program for Sustainable Rural Development in the Western Balkans, in the framework of the ALTER (Active Local Territory for Economic Development of Rural Areas) project, funded by the European Union.
The project is dedicated to promoting interaction between local actors, increasing trust among actors, animating the territory, and fostering tripartite local partnerships. It is characterized by several principles such as comprehensiveness, bottom-up approach, active citizens, local partnerships, collective actions, development based on endogenous territorial potentials, local, cross-sectoral and community-based integrated development.
The activities envisaged in the project promote civic activism and leadership, enhancing community participation and promoting the sense of inclusion and belonging.
